I'm Varun.

I build real-time systems and AI products — the kind that break in interesting ways when real people actually use them.

CS junior at UC Davis. Most of what I know came from things breaking after they shipped.

About Me

I'm a CS junior at UC Davis. I build real-time systems and AI products.

Mostly the same instinct every time — figure out what should exist, then stay on it until it holds up with real people using it.

These days the first thing I think about is what happens when it goes wrong. Building the auction engine, the interesting part wasn't the bidding. It was someone's tab closing mid-lot and coming back forty seconds later expecting the room to still be there.
